Specific
The research project will focus on the design, synthesis, and optimization of perovskite-based solar
cells, with a particular emphasis on flexible photovoltaic devices and the development of perovskite
mini-modules . The main objective will be to develop efficient, stable, and scalable photovoltaic
technologies by controlling the properties of perovskite materials, interfaces, and device
architectures. The selected candidate will investigate bulk perovskite materials and nanostructured
perovskite systems, including compositional engineering, defect management, interface
optimization, and strategies to improve long-term operational stability. The project will encompass
the fabrication of high-performance solar cells on rigid and flexible substrates, as well as the
transition from single-junction devices to larger-area photovoltaic architectures and the integration
of mini-modules . The work will combine materials synthesis, thin-film processing, device
fabrication, and advanced characterization techniques to establish correlations between material
properties, processing conditions, and photovoltaic performance. Special attention will be given to
the challenges related to the practical implementation of perovskite-based photovoltaics, including
mechanical flexibility, environmental stability, reproducibility, and device scalability. The successful
candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment integrating expertise in semiconductor
materials, nanotechnology, optoelectronics, and photovoltaic engineering. Access to INAM’s stateof-the-art facilities will allow for comprehensive structural, chemical, optical, electrical, and
photovoltaic characterization of the developed materials and devices.
We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a solid background in one or more of the
following areas:
Synthesis and processing of perovskite materials or semiconductor thin films.
Manufacturing and characterization of perovskite solar cells.
Flexible electronics, photovoltaic devices or large area device processing.
Thin film deposition techniques and interface engineering.
Submission of applications
The call will be published in the Official Gazette of the Valencian Autonomous Government (DOGV)
and on the Official Noticeboard of the Universitat Jaume I (TAO-UJI), in the category
“Convocatorias PI” [Calls for researchers]. The deadline for submission of applications is 10
working days as of the day following the publication of this call in the DOGV.
Applications must be submitted through the online registry directly at the address:
https://www.uji.es/seu/info-adm/tao/ (category “PI” look for code: 23098).
Or it is also possible to use a generic registry:
http://www.registre.uji.es/ (indicating call PI code: 23098)
In order to do so, candidates must have a UJI corporate account, a digital certificate containing an
electronic signature. Anyone who does not have a UJI corporate account must register for a new
one on the University website at: http://www.registre.uji.es/ or contact registre@uji.es.
